Videos are a great way to share, teach, encourage and exhort. The internet is loaded with videos and we have and are continuing to compile what we feel to be the best of the best! We are well underway with the preparation of the building on Skid Row that God has provided for us. Through God’s continued blessing, so far, all of the materials for the building preparation have been donated by loving, caring saints in the community. These include paint, building supplies, furnishings, a new bathroom faucet and toilet, and even a much needed vehicle for our transportation!
Jeremiah and I are working full time getting things ready to open. This past Saturday we had over 20 people show up to help paint; and we were able to finish almost all of the painting inside the building. It is really amazing how God has provided for everything we need, right when we need it. We are so thankful to Him and are praying and believing for His continued intervention with future needs.
There was also a very significant happening on Saturday. We had a person come to inform us that the Lord has laid upon he and his wife’s hearts to match all donations received in December and January - up to ten thousand dollars!! We were “blown away”! We are hoping that the Lord will use this generous offer to help us begin to raise the funds needed for the operation of our mission on Skid Row once it is opened. What this means is that if you were to donate $100, this man and his wife will match that donation, turning your $100 into $200!! Please consider helping us during December and January. If everyone who this were to donate just $10, we would be able to raise $10,000 for the ministry to the homeless on Skid Row in no time. Please remember, most of all, to keep us in your prayers as that is the primary and most important way that you can help us. We have had so much help that we are expecting to open our doors even sooner than we previously thought. We hope to be open by Christmas Day or New Year’s Day at the latest.
